I grew up in a small Colorado mountain town with a population of 1,200 and a casino on every corner. There was one gas station, one little grocery store, and a lot of snow. My mother and I lived there until I was 15, which was when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Due to the isolation of our small town, we were forced to relocate to the city so she could get the care she needed (she is currently 5+ years cancer-free and in remission!). In that city we blossomed - my mother started a business and I started taking my dreams of being an artist seriously.
Currently I live in the greater Kansas City area with my husband and daughter, and I dedicate every spare second to painting.
